PLANT THIS:
‘Prairie Fire’ dogwood
Name:Cornus alba‘Prairie Fire’
USDA Hardiness Zones:2 to 7
Size:5 to 6 feet marvellous and wide
Conditions : Full sun to fond shade ; average soil

‘ Prairie Fire ’ dogwood tree is a modest - sustentation shrub with great visual interest . I love its gorgeous chartreuse leaf , which pops against dark greens in a garden . The large eye - shape leaves meet out nicely on the branch , giving it a fullness that still feels airy . ‘ Prairie Fire ’ bring home the bacon a nice backdrop for conifers and other featured works . I often use it to bring freshness to an otherwise dark corner of the garden . In late leaping , humble white blossom appear on ‘ Prairie Fire ’ , followed by white-hot berries in midsummer . Fall brings ruby leaves and shining red straw .
WITH THAT:
Snowdrop anemone
Name:Anemone sylvestris
Zones:3 to 9
Size:12 to 18 inches tall and wide
This mountain flower is one of the first to bloom in give , with its graceful blossom come forth from slow foliation on a single prow . In capitulation , the dark , glossy leaves turn burgundy , which often last beyond the first frost . I have it off the way Anemone quinquefolia anemone fills in quickly to give an instal feeling to newly install landscapes . In this combining , its green foliage allows its pea green companions to become a focal point .

‘Lime Rickey’ heuchera
Name:Heuchera‘Lime Rickey’
Zones:4 to 9
Size:8 inches tall and 1 foot wide
Conditions : Full sunshine to fond tad ; fertile , moist , well - drained soil

‘ Lime Rickey ’ genus Heuchera instantly creates a focal compass point . It can tie in with other bright greens to lighten up a densely planted area . If plant en masse , it can sum a modern feel to a naturalised garden . It has a ruffled grain and becomes full after a season or two . It pairs nicely with conifer and plants with dark leaf or bloodless flowers , like snowdrop sea anemone .
‘Slowmound’ mugo pine
Name:Pinus mugo‘Slowmound’
Zones:3 to 7
Size:3 feet tall and 4 feet spacious
condition : Full sunlight ; well - drain soil

This tough , versatile , drought - tolerant little pine does well in a naturalized alpine garden or a Mediterranean xeriscape and most styles in between . It is also tall enough to be a winter focal full stop , even after a metrical foot or two of Baron Snow of Leicester , but be sure to remove any heavy Charles Percy Snow from its branches . Dense and pretty , ‘ Slowmound ’ mugo pine is also low maintenance .
