Today ’s photograph are from Sally Barker in Maryland . Sally says,“When my sons left home about 15 years ago I make up one’s mind the backyard skateboard ramp ask to go and I began tackle vines and mourning band and invasives on our one - Akka suburban Baltimore lot .
“ drag hundreds of wheelbarrows of compost / soil and mulch , and designing along the way , I began create deep and gently curve layer with layers of tree diagram , shrubs and perennial . A stone terrace was installed in 2002 allowing additional planting .
“ My goal has been to create a tapis of shade of super C and chartreuse and silver medal with beautiful and varied foliage . Flowering roses and hydrangea and perennials are just the frosting on the cake ! ”
