Today we have another picture from East Side Patch , the garden of Philip Leveridge in Austin , Texas . He say , “ I have a clustering of mist flowers in the Patch and when they flower they are magnets for all fashion of insects . I shoot a plenty of insects so flora attraction like mist flowers , celosia andFatsia japonicaare covet . This is a folio carver bee , a solitary creature ( meaning that each mother takes forethought of her own brood ) . A few will form small colonies , but they are not really social , they merely share the entrance to their nests . They cuddle in a variety of cavities in rotted woodwind instrument or hollow prow . I like the monochromic nature of the shot and how the antenna reference the salad days shapes … this was one interfering small bee . ” Thanks again , Philip , for sharing ! We ’ll feature one more picture from Philip ’s Garden tomorrow . Stay tuned ! In the meantime , you’re able to impose Philip ’s bloghere .
