During a field of study review on August 4 , four plant life were awarded a KVBC Award by the tribulation committee of the KVBC , 3 of which with gold .

GoldNo fewer than 3 golden KVBC Awards were award , to Juniperus order Squamata ‘ Little Joanna ’ , to Magnolia ‘ Genie ’ and to Spiraea ‘ Tracy ’ ( twice flirt BIG BANG ) . The tribulation committee regulation as follow about Juniperus squamata ‘ Little Joanna ’ : “ uprise as a mutation in ‘ Blue Carpet ’ . stoppage humiliated and develop understandably “ 2-dimensional ” ; eventually becomes ± 1 m2 . Fresh gray - blue foliage , with a finer structure than ‘ Blue Carpet ’ . substantial : no fungous infections notice and no limb dieback . Even maturation . chiefly suitable for use in private gardens , parks and pots . ”

Magnolia “ Genie ” has also been grant a golden KVBC Award . The trial committee : “ forward-looking cultivar in various areas . The wont is densely forked and compact , so ‘ Genie ’ will not form a tree diagram , but will always stay a bush . The main bloom is in the natural spring , but quite a peck of flowers are formed throughout the summer , so that the industrial plant is always flower well . This make the decorative value particularly long , peculiarly for a Magnolia . The flower buds are formed after the wintertime , so they do not tolerate from frostbite . Even if the saltation efflorescence is affect by Nox frost , the plant continues to flower in the summer . The flowers are cupful - shape and warm Burgundy wine . The foliage is dark dark-green and healthy . ”

The third KVBC Gold Award live on to Spiraea “ Tracy ” ( DOUBLE wager BIG BANG ) . This cultivar has already been trialled before , in 2015 on 8 May , 29 June and 16 September and in 2020 three times during the star inspection ( Euro trial ) Spiraea . It is a hybridizing between S. fritschiana and S. japonica . During the run on August 4 , the tribulation commission judged as follow : “ During all previous inspections , ‘ Tracy ’ raise to be very healthy and the industrial plant has always perform optimally . The ornamental value is multiple : the colored new leave , followed by the inflorescence , after which unseasoned shoots are again formed . The summertime leaves are gentle dark-green - yellow and remain healthy . The faded flowers are green for a foresighted time and not brown , so they do not deface the plant . ”

SilverFagus sylvatica ‘ Verschuurfag 1 ’ ( MIDNIGHT FEATHER )   has been present the fluent KVBC Award . The trial commission about this cultivar : “ find oneself as a seedling around 2010 ; Vigorous heartiness , uniform growth and the trunk “ thick ” well . The foliage stay in color until autumn . The young leaves are narrower than the adult leaf . powerfully resembles ( the hardly known ) ‘ Rouge Minaret ’ , which appears to have slightly wide leaf and the bottom of the folio is redder . Can intimately be believe a “ ruddy ” ‘ Asplenifolia ’ . Seems particularly suited for exercise in garden and less as an boulevard tree or in small gardens . A plant for cognoscenti . ”
