Views and plants worth remembering
Today we ’re submit a trip to see Luana Carpenter ’s garden in Massillon , Ohio . We ’ve been there before ( A Garden of Roses , andLessons Learned in a Gardening Life ) and it is always beautiful , so I ’m excited to deal more pic from this garden today .
It ’s November now in my Ohio garden , and we ’ve jolly much put the garden to seam . I have it off mixing floweringshrubs , perennials , bulbs , climbers , and roses . And I have loved memorize throughout the years what grows well in my part shade , part sun garden .
It ’s been endearing to take care back and , as with most gardener , make changes to the garden this twilight by move and dividing plants , sum a few new ones ( shhhh , just between us ) and some morebulbs . I ’m always looking onwards to next season .

These are some of my preferent photos from last season .
These tiny birdhouse sure as shooting make a great little region , with million - one dollar bill views of the garden in full bloom around them .
Wide , curving path of profuse immature locoweed call for you to wander the garden and look tight at all the beautiful plants . The judiciary invites you to sit and enjoy , while the way of life disappearing behind the bed makes me desire to take the air on and search .

The row of birdhouses from the first photo is seeable again here , on the left hand , as you walk past the pond surround by flowering plants .
An inspired combining of plant : Joe Pye weed(Eutrochiumpurpureum , Zones 4–9 ) unify with a tallpanicle hydrangea(Hydrangea paniculata , Zones 3–8 ) . These are both self-aggrandizing , vigorous , well-to-do - to - grow plants that bloom profusely in mid to late summer , right when the garden can be front well-worn and you need something fresh and exciting . Joe Pye weed is also a deary of pollinator , as you’re able to see from the bee visible on the blooms in this pic .
By the seating area on the patio , white Oriental lilies ( Liliumhybrid , Oriental group , Zones 4–9 ) mix with other perennial , including twice - flower orange daylily ( Hemerocallis , Zones 3–9 ) . Daylilies and the true lilies are pertain , and wait similar , but institute different thing to the garden . The Oriental lilies blow one of the honest fragrances , while daylilies are unbelievably vigorous and floriferous with a panoptic cooking stove of coloration and forms .

I just want to sit down in one of those chairs and soak up this beautiful garden !
Lilies ! Queens of the garden ! I can almost reek them through the computer screen .
I love the way this mandrel gateway , and the vine - covered screens around it , hide what is on the other side , while just badger enough of a persuasion to get my interest . Visually blocking offparts of the gardenwith hedgerow , tall plants , or vine - cover fencing is a gravid way to make the space palpate larger and more complex .

A classic , heirloomclimbing rose , ‘ Zephirine Drouhin ’ , blooms on top of this arbor . This develop is disease resistant , fragrant , and virtually thornless . It is no curiosity that it is still popular over 150 year since it was first introduced .
