Two of Biotecture ’s life walls have been recognized in the Flowers in the City Summer Campaign Awards ; 20 Fenchurch Street and New Street Square . The Awards , black market by the Worshipful Company of Gardeners , showcase the upright horticultural exhibit across the City of London .
Biotecture ’s 700 - cadence living wall at 20 Fenchurch Street won the campaign ’s newest award – The Skyline Trophy — which celebrates the good example of unripe walls and ceiling garden . This impressive living rampart was design and instal by Biotecture in 2014 .
" A mix of ferns , shrubs , and grasses creates a mixed bag of colors and texture ; from the crisp green of Evergreen Hart ’s Tongue and the cherry-red hues of Heuchera ’s Marmalade ’ to the modest dense leaves of Lonicera Maygreen and the longsighted fronds of Polystichum setiferum . Flowering plants give fragrant flare-up of violet , pinkish and white to the rampart throughout the summertime , after which Charles Edward Berry mature in the winter to provide class - troll pastime , " the Biotecture team explains .
