In a Vase on Monday. Potty!

Today is a red letter daylight in the Monday vase- filling community of interests . It is the 4th anniversary of Cathy ’s popular meme , ‘ In a Vase on Monday ’ . To fete she inquire us to stage our flowers in something that is not a vase at all . I am look forward to seeing how inventive everyone is .

So my peak today are sitting in a Victorian sleeping accommodation sens .

I go for it is not lèse - majesté and awless to the tabby of the vas to celebrate her quaternary day of remembrance with a potty . Cathy like to apply props to place off her arrangements and make a pleasing tableau , but I think even her ingeniousness would fail here . I ca n’t mean of a exclusive airplane propeller that would n’t introduce a scatological note and humble the tone of this lovely meme . So no props just a pottyful of flowers . It does n’t seem quite decent to have it on the dining room table but never heed . I am hosting my book golf club tomorrow , I will see if anyone notices that there is a stool on the board .

The Robert Lee Frost has blackened the dahlias and the rosebush hang like Farrrer ’s ‘ shrivelled moths’,but there are still plenty of other blooms . To match the pattern on the Po River I have used pink , white and mauve flowers . The leafage dwell of endearing silvery eucalyptus leaves and a few stanch ofPittospermum tenufolium‘Irene Patterson ’ which has beautiful evergreen , white- marbleised leave-taking . Also the Ag - leavedConvolvulus cneorumhas still fetch a few flower . you may just see it in the centre of the photo above .

I have used the lovely little stars ofSolanum laxum‘Creche ar Pape ’ in previous vas ; it just goes on and on blooming copiously . I used a few twig of a starry white aster;Symphiotrichum ericoides‘Snow Flurry ’ . Some of my salvias have tumble in the frost but deep purpleSalvia‘Amistad ’ seems quite insensible . I have taken cuttings but I trust it will survive the wintertime it is such a endearing big industrial plant now . For pinks I have usedNicotiana‘Whisper Deep pink ’ which is gorgeous . Gaura lindheimerihas been blooming for ages and is quite unscathed by the Robert Frost . The pinkChrysanthemum‘Suffolk Pink ’ was found in a Suffolk garden . The red penstemon clash a bit , but one is glad of any coloration in November .

The grass isPennisetum allopecuroides‘Hameln ’ and the lily-white Charles Edward Berry are snow berries , Symphoricarpos albus , but I would n’t recommend this invasive plant to anyone , it is the Devils ’ Spawn and impossible to root out .

well-chosen Fourth Anniversary to Cathy atRamblinginthegarden . Do go and see what curious containers everyone else has put their bloom in today . You ’ll find that there is not a vase to be seen .

Oh I have it off this potty arrangement….as who would know it is a potty….not me … .. and wow look at your blooms fill it !

The profusion of gorgeous blooming ( a blossom of coloring ? ) is impressive . That ’s certainly a beautiful chamber pot . Do you suppose you could convince your Edgar Guest that it ’s a really large sugar bowl or soup tureen ? Waste not , want not …

Well , Cathy storm me with her remarkably pretty paring loving cup and now you ’ve upped the ante with an as beautiful chamber pot . I ’ve had piffling exposure to either shave cups or bedroom throne ( other than perhaps literary references ) but what I know of them would n’t have comprehend the lovely pieces the 2 of you managed to come up with . And your garden remains bountiful it appear !

What a mythical po and agreement Chloris and thanks for bring out me to a novel Word of God in scatological . I had to get my dictionary out for that one . It still look like high summertime in your neck of the Grant Wood .

I ’m ingrain that you found so much to enhance your potty in November . The colours go so well and the facile foliage is pretty with the pink . Beautifully arranged .
