What are Nematodes?
Nematodes are little worms that chew up ascendant , shorten flora vigor and generally mess up up your plans for a goodly garden .
We detest them , valued . We do !
I pull out up a words of bush beans a distich of weeks ago and find out that the base were surprisingly knotted – and not with nitrogen - ready nodule . Nope , that was nematode damage .
So How Do I Kill Nematodes?
Well … let ’s see .
I ’ve read that deal of compost will keep their universe down – yet this bed was filled with compost . Loaded with it . And still , my beans were getting chewed to bits . Do n’t believe me ? Look at this !
Creepy . It ’s obvious that we have a job here .
I ’ve record in another berth that nematodes do n’t wish cabbage or mustard leaves till into the soil . I also know that wormwood kills a mixture of parasitical worms .
So … I decided to make a intermixture .
calculate at that ! What IS that ?
Well , the white leaves are wormwood ( a dirt ball sea wolf – nematodes are worms , call up ? ) from my front garden . And I also tear up some collard greens to mix in in , since I did n’t have mustard or pelf lie around .
Then I stimulate wild .
I added coffee tree , tobacco , pokeweed , pencil Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree leaves , cassava farewell , habenero peppers , moringa , comfrey , dog fennel , rosemary , mint , senna alata and oregano .
That means I have caffeine , nicotine , phytolaccatoxin , toxic latex , cycanide , capsaicin , pyrrolizidine alkaloids , anthraquinone and various aromatic vegetable oil , along with a laundry list of other minor compound .
After mixing all these thing together , I cover them with water and let them rot into a toxic stew for a few day in the Dominicus … then rain cats and dogs it into my seam . That would kill us and I ’m betting it kills roundworm too .

UPDATE : Since apply this awesome nematode vote out stew to that bottom , I seem to have had less nematode hassle . We require a science lab to test it !
