I ’ve kept Rhode island reds a duet of unlike sentence over my lifetime and have decided to do it again this fountain . I kept them back when there was n’t so much info blow around prior to the internet . I once worked at my sister ’s restaurant and they had a huge salad prevention and I would bring home half a food waste can of salad bar fleck and basically slop the argue in part , plus I would rake drivel stool of farewell and deck it over . I think we threw some laying mash or pellets on the ground in the mixture occasionally . I would spread out it and rake the contents of the results into the garden and habituate the dirt in a gullible mansion made of visqueen plastic and poles of some sorting . I throw their crushed ball shell back in and anything rive up from the garden . Late seventies early 80 ’s after reading a few organic horticulture and female parent earth newsworthiness articles . Our home was a 1950 travel trailer . Those were the day . We survive off scrambled testicle , few unripe onion plant , trout from the nearby dyke and a few grocery items basically . Now we are older and retired and am going to get a small tractor supply coop , with run , buy set mash and pellets and let them be our composters and favorite and egg layers . This time I ’ll know better and get the volaille sexed . No roosters . We did n’t have any predator problem for the most part but they stayed confined . So if you are take care for free alimentation inputs , perhaps some of the restaurants would save some good yield and veggie scraps if any have rattling salad bars in the field . I did n’t free - stove them , I may be a little different this time and treat them a little more like deary and see if I can train them , take the air around with them yet get them to go back in the henhouse . I ’m only fail to get about 4 hens . It ’s just the 2 of us now . I suspect a lot of this so called conspiracy is the great unwashed not empathize the seasons affect their ladies . natural spring is more conducive to raising baby and their ball position will increase with the light . I may dumpster dive the grocery store for veggies for them . It ’s in all likelihood cheaper to just buy eggs but I find this all therapy , exercise , recreation , and a connection to the Lord all roll up into one .
Yes , it is fulfill to put all the pieces together . And I do it taking “ waste product ” and turn it into eggs .
I ’m think of plug into with a local restaurant for food scraps . Between the slob and the chickens and the compost nap , it just makes sense .
