Revisiting a magical gardening

We ’re back again today with photos take byMaria Savoskulaof the Stockcross House garden where Istvan Dudas is part - time head gardener . Istvan has divvy up photos of his work with us before ( horticulture as an Art Form ) . Check those out if you ’ve miss them .

Yesterday we look at photograph take in the garden over the summertime , and today we ’re back to enjoy some scenes from fall .

Bold banana foliation rises above that of a smoking bush ( Cotinuscoggygria , Zones 5–8 ) and the delicate pinkish spire of kiss - me - over - the - garden - logic gate ( Persicariaorientalis , yearly ) .

Stockcross House itself is a somewhat incredible setting for this beautiful garden .

declination flowers include yellow sneezeweed ( Heleniumautumnale , Zones 3–8 ) , livid Japanese anemone ( Anemonehupehensis , Zones 5–9 ) , and the small blue flowers of what looks to beSalviauliginosa(Zones 6–10 ) .

Dahliasin peak late - summertime salad days , backed up by a Brobdingnagian mass of yellowsneezeweed .

Ivy - leaved cyclamen ( Cyclamenhederifolium , Zones 4–8 ) is torpid in summer and then blossom at the offset of twilight . The beautiful leaves patterned with silver will egress presently and last all wintertime before going dormant in the spring .

I get it on the interplay of formal and intimate elements here . The route and tightly slew shrubs are very unbending and formal , while the wild perennials soften them with their loose growth .

cloud of red salvia ( Salvia coccinea , Zones 10–11 or as an annual ) glow in the sun .

A garden bulwark and gate frame the view beyond into a pure garden word-painting .

A perfectly languid plant combination of Mexican feather grass ( Nassellatenuissima , Zones 7–10 ) and the over-embellished flowers of what appear likeAllium‘Millenium ’ ( Zones 5–8 ) .
