From overgrown bushes to flowery wonderland

Anna Tsai in Bayside , Wisconsin , is welcoming us into her garden today .

The backyard was only someovergrownbushes andhostaswhen we displace in 24 twelvemonth ago . I opened up flower beds , play on the stain , and then get going plant unlike plants that uprise well inwetandshady areas . l also supplant the old and sick trees with my favoriteevergreentrees . It ’s a lot of work , but I love seeing my garden completely changed .

High summer in the garden , withdahlias(Dahlia×variabilis , Zones 8–10 or as a pinnace bulb )

This garden is overflowing with beauty now , so it ’s heavy to believe it was just overgrown bushes before .

Brobdingnagian parting of elephant ’s ear ( Colocasiaesculenta , Zones 7–11 ) make a dramatictexturalcontrast to the rest of the garden .

Bearded irises ( Irishybrids , Zones 3–8 ) steal the show inearly summertime .

Clematis(Clematishybrids , Zones 4–8 ) drapery anarborin flowers .

A sea of brilliant pinkish astilbe ( Astilbehybrid , Zones 4–9 )

YellowHeliopsishelianthoides(Zones 3–9 ) takes halfway stage , stake up by beautiful astilbe .

Beautiful foliage in contrasting colouring material and texture makes the perfect setting for a splendid tower of lily ( Liliumhybrid , Zones 4–8 ) salad days .
