Fall colorstarts to show from potted geraniums(Pelargoniumhybrids , zone 9–11 or as annuals ) , ginkgo(Ginkgobiloba , Zones 4–8 ) andTetrapanax(Zones 7–10 ) , with Japanese maples(Acerpalmatum , Zones 5–9 ) andconifersbehind .
